CPG's Gunpla Corner 01 - The First One

In this corner I will be talking about several of my hobbies that are collectively wrapped around one thing: Gunpla.

With Gundam models in particular, not only do I like to build and display them, but I also get a kick out of cel shading them, making an effort to blur the lines between 2D and 3D. Cel shading isn't quite the right term because I am not actually doing any shading, I let the light and the natural geometry of the model shade the surfaces for me.

This involves various layers of sealants and inks, applied in specific ways to control the specular highlights, and I will do deep-dives into these steps and others as we go.
